Dear Rotarians,
A side note before you begin:
One question we have been asked is “Do you have one single application all clubs can use?” The short answer is “no.” You WILL NOT find an application template on this web site.
Every club has unique selection processes for various activities involving students in their schools and communities. We feel that if we at the academy set an application, procedure or qualification standard, many students may not meet requirements. It could rob the students the academy aims to serve…students with hearts for service.
Clubs know the students in their communities better than MO RYLA ever will. We leave it to individual clubs to select the students with a process that best represent their areas.
We have a handy dandy helpful tips document that can provide some guidance and ideas you can find here: http://www.missouriryla.com/helpful-selection-tips
What is the difference between “Sign Up A Student” and “Registration”?
Just a quick note to explain why we have a two-part enrollment process for your student selections. We are dealing with two different “customers” who often do not have personal interaction.
For Rotary Clubs—Sign Up A Student: Because the students are minors and we have to request private medical details, we are not allowed to have the Rotary clubs collect the information. Clubs “sign up” a student so we can move forward with the family with their portion of the enrollment for RYLA. http://www.missouriryla.com/rotary-club-sign-up-form
For Families—Registration: Because many families do not have the Rotary information we need, we do not expect them to know details like the district or Rotarian contact information. Students and their families are responsible to finish the enrollment process for their attendance to the academy. This registration link is password protected and will only come from the director, Valerie Anderson. The registration form and information is only viewable by the director. http://www.missouriryla.com/student-registration

On the home page, scroll over the “For Rotary Clubs: Sigh Up A Student” link. Select this option.
Five “Register” graphic boxes will appear on the screen. Select the first light blue box from the left. When you scroll over it, the box will appear bright green and say “Sign Up A Student #1 $600.” Select this box.
Scroll down a bit and there will be an “ADD TO CART” light blue button. Select it. You will have to add the order BEFORE you can fill out the student information.
The “Rotary Club: Student Sign Up Form” will appear. The question answers are required for Rotary information tracking purposes. This is the information that you will need to have:

How Did You/Your Club Hear About RYLA?
When the form is complete, click the “Add to Cart” button at the bottom of the form.
A small grocery cart will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the page with Item #1 listed with $600.
If you are registering more than one student, repeat steps 3-4 (#2, #3 etc…).
The number of items in the cart should match the total registration payment due. When you are ready to check out, click on the grocery cart.
The itemized shopping cart will appear and you will be ready to checkout.
Three questions will appear:
Your email
Credit card payment
Review your purchase
Pay the registration.
Upon completion, you will receive a confirmation email/payment receipt.
After I receive your student selection sign up information and payment, you will be copied into email correspondence I have with the family so you are kept in the registration process loop.
I recommend that you keep your own copy of the student’s information that you have collected. When they return from the Academy, they are expecting an invitation from the club to come and present about their experience. Having their information on hand will help you connect with them, directly.
If you have any questions or like some additional assistance, please feel free to contact me!
