ROTARY YOUTH PROGRAMS

•     Service club for youth ages 12-18

•     Sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance

•     Are self-governing and self-supporting

 

ROTARACT: https://www.rotary.org/en/get-involved/rotaract-clubs

•     Service club for young men and women, ages 18-30

•     Are either community or university based and sponsored by a local Rotary club

 

ROTARY YOUTH EXCHANGE: https://www.rotary.org/en/our-programs/youth-exchanges

•     Clubs and districts send and host students ages 15-19 for exchanges of three weeks to a full school year.

•     Students study in another country and learn about its history, language and culture; serve as goodwill ambassadors and promote world understanding and peace.

•     Two types of exchanges

•     Short-term Exchange

•     Several days to several weeks long

•     Usually during summer months

•     Can include home stays, tours, international youth camps

•     Long-term Exchange

•     One school year

•     Involves living with a few host families and attending a local school
